Megan Lizik

Megan Lizik first volunteered with UBECI in Quito in 2013, assisting with strategic planning and the development of knowledge management tools as an administrative support volunteer.  She also had the opportunity to help run UBECI's local market programs, and meet some of the awesome children and families UBECI serves.  Seeing the outsized impact this tiny organization has made in the local community is what has driven Megan to continue volunteering remotely.  Over the years she has developed training and organizational development materials, managed fundraising and social media campaigns, applied for grants, and assisted in developing volunteer orientation materials, among other things.

Megan is passionate about using evidence and data to improve programs.  She has more than twenty years of experience in research and evaluation, grant management, project management, and labor and industrial relations in both the public and private sectors.
